Canon MF8380Cdw Driver Mac, Windows, Linux – The MF8380Cdw is too big to discuss a desk with, measuring 18.9 by17.0 by19.2 inches (HWD) and weighing 68 lbs with capsules in place.  The control panel does tilt towards you and is, which means you’re going to want to stand up unless the printer is on a table to get it.  The panel contains an alphanumeric keypad controller, 5-line monochrome screen, and a selection of ID entrance for printing, and work buttons for printing, copy, scan, and fax in addition to an energy-saving manner.  Is a jack for a USB thumb drive.

Along with 50-sheet duplexing automatic document feeder (ADF) for copying, scanning, or faxing either side of multipage files.  Standard paper capacity contains a 50-sheet multipurpose feeder plus a paper tray, along with an automatic duplexer for printing.  An extra 250-sheet paper tray is also available, for a maximum paper capacity of 550 sheets. The MF8380Cdw provides USB, Ethernet, and WiFi connectivity; we analyzed it within an Ethernet link with the driver set up onto a PC running Windows Vista.

Canon lately made duplexing (double-sided printing) its default option on the majority of its new printers.  Thus, we analyzed the MF8380Cdw in a duplex style, which will be somewhat slower than simplex (one-sided) printing.  The MF8380Cdw printed our one-page test documents each–that can be published in simplex for obvious reasons.

The MF8380Cdw’s output quality favorite text over photographs and–particularly–images.  Quality was typical of color lasers enough for any company needs except ones needing fonts that are small.   Photo quality has been typical of a color laser: appropriate for internal business uses such as printing out identifiable photographs from Internet pages, but maybe not much greater than that.  Colours in certain prints were somewhat muted.  Where they need to be slow, test images revealed abrupt changes in color.  While brighter regions were washed out details in regions showed up nicely.

Pictures were sub-par to get a color laser.  Colors were light, and a few colors were off a bit–yellows tended to look for instance.  Where they need to be slow, 1 example showed posterization shifts.  The graphics are fine for schoolwork and company use, though I would be unwilling to utilize the MF8380Cdw for reports or handouts.

Its rated duty cycle is 40,000 pages each month, just like the MF8350Cdn and more than sufficient for micro and home offices and lots of tiny offices too.   The Canon Color imageClass MF8380Cdw is a good color MFP with a complete feature set for a small office or workgroup.  Though it faltered a bit it prints photographs and text.  Its rate is sufficient, though unexceptional.  It’s an option for workgroup or an office seeking to add color laser printing.  The Brother MFC-9970CDW includes a comparable feature set (such as Wi-Fi) and a sweet touch display and is quicker, even though it also has issues with images and has worse picture quality compared to the Canon.  The OKI MC561 lacks connectivity, even though it offers optional and standard paper capability and an obligation that is higher.
